Murter island is a small island between Zadar and Šibenik, connected to the mainland by a low road bridge. A car/shuttle bus ride to Murter from the nearby Split and Zadar airports takes around an hour. The waters around Murter are dotted with smaller islands (Radelj, Teginja, Arta Vela, Vrgada, and others) offering a lot of opportunities to relax without losing the island’s shores from view. Murter’s abundance of marinas, fishing villages, and hidden coves all make for a nice, well-rounded sea experience. Still, the island is a hub for sailors who want to set off to explore Croatia’s more famous nautical gems - Dugi Otok, Kornati Islands, Brač, and Hvar islands.
